The Sterling Silver Saoirse 2 Ring is made to remind us all how important Freedom is to us as a people. We are born free and no one can take that from us.
There was a sharp edges left on the Silver when I was hammering it down to the dimensions I needed and it reminded me of a sword or bayonet. I decided to make it part of the design as Freedom is seldom won without some suffering.
I've chased in the word Saoirse (Irish word for Freedom) into the ring using the ancient form of writing called Ogham.
I've then oxidised the ring to give it that old world feel.
