Handmade Sterling Silver Anam Cara Soul Friend Pendant.

Anam is Gaelic for Soul and Cara is Gaelic for Friend. Each one is cast and then worked by hand so no two are ever the same. When you purchase a piece of jewellery from me you are purchasing a unique piece of work.

I leave the the unique markings left by the casting process on each piece as proof of its originality.

The concept of Anam Cara comes from our Celtic Spirituality.

I am designing other pieces to go with this collection. At the moment I have the Anam Cara Pendant and Anam Cara Cufflinks.

I have also designed and made Anam Tonn which means Soul Wave, it is for all those with a connection to the sea. The Celts were very much in tune with nature and the natural world.

I have written Anam Cara in the ancient Irish method called Ogham.

I have oxidized the pendant to allow the writing to stand out, it also gives the piece and ancient ethnic feel to the piece.


Each piece is packaged in a secure box and posted to you using Registered Mail.

Your jewellery is made in the small studio here in Connemara.

Given that each piece is made with tender loving care, each piece may take between one and two weeks to make.

Remember to take your countries location into consideration when ordering and the time it takes for your postal service to deliver.

Ireland's postal service is very quick, other countries are much slower as the postal workers may have to encounter snow, floods, grumpy dogs and long queues at the coffee counters!
